Here is a fascinated
observation that I didn’t miss the previous day in an art café.
Two guys maybe in their
late 20’s or beginning 30’s came over to the café, got seated and right away
ordered something. Though I was in the midway through an interesting
conversation here with my fellow beings; my eyes caught inescapable glimpses of
the mannerisms and behavior of those guys.
In the first instance: 5
minutes elapsed after ordering sometthing. God knows what those men ordered.
10 minutes flew by and
there started restlessness. The guy who sat facing me, started turning back as
many as 12-15 times.
On the approximate 13-14th
minute, the waiter came with a tray.
As simple as that; two
cups of lemon tea and some marshmellows. There they were feeling contented as
to the order arrived at least then.
There comes the twist then.
The guy facing me took a sip and kept the cup down. His companion didn’t show
any signs of disapproval. But the “Theory of Influence” was applied by the
other guy that made his companion imitate the action of the first.
A sense of irritated discontentment. The
guy facing me turned back and waived a hand at the waiter.
The next thing which I saw
was that the waiter taking those cups back into the kitchen. Simple observation –
The lemon tea didn’t appeal to their senses it seems and went another order
behind it.
The same looks of discontentment
and irritation for lagging the time for the order to arrive but doubled with
disgrace and anger.
The guy
facing me starts looking at his watch intermittently, looks back whether the
waiter is coming and then says something to his friend. Repeated goes this
process until the waiter comes with another tray of two transparent glasses
with lime juice.
Blimey! Have these guys
craved to drink this, waiting for nearly 40-45 minutes. Seeing the waiter
coming, words of dire emotion mixed with stirred facial expressions spitted
forth from the guy facing me, but in silence; to which it was audible to his
companion only.
No sooner the glasses
arrived, than they gulped it as if they had some tablets up their throat and
left the area in split seconds!
That was quick but ridiculous but at last Observation won!
